My name is Judith and I qualified as a Counsellor in 1999 and a Supervisor in 2001. I managed a counselling service for 16 years offering one to one counselling to Social Care, Sure Start, Adult and Young Carer clients as well as offering placements to trainee counsellors. I also facilitated on Certificate, Diploma and Supervision Courses as well as Weekend Workshops. I now work part time as a Counsellor and Supervisor and part time as a Nurse in an acute medical setting.
I have two rescue dogs, a German Shepherd/Husky Cross and a Staffie, they make sure I get out for a walk every day. I have two adult sons, two DIL’s (daughter in law’s) and I love spending time with my parents when they are not off squandering my inheritance on holidays.
I have had many sessions of counselling over the years, most recently following a bereavement, redundancy, career path adjustment and relationship breakdown. I greatly value the process of change, the learning and insight I gain and the way it allows me to live a happier and healthier life.
